Dr. Robert F. Leroy is a Neurologist whose qualifications
include double Board Certification in Neurology and in Neurophysiology
with particular expertise in Epilepsy.
Dr. Leroy graduated from the Brown University (B.A. with Concentration
in Neuroscience, 1972) and from the Pennsylvania State University
College of Medicine (M.D., 1977) where he also served as a Department
of Anatomy Research Assistant. He completed his Medical Internship at
Baltimore City Hospital (1978), a Neurology Residency (1981) and a
Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy Fellowship (1982) at the Yale
University School of Medicine.
Dr. Leroy served as an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Chief of
Neurophysiology & Director of the Neurophysiology Program at the
University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (1982-1994.)
He was the Medical Director of the Clinical Neurophysiology & Epilepsy
Treatment Center at Parkland Memorial Hospital as well as Director
of Neurophysiology at Children's Medical Center in Dallas until he
entered private practice in 1994. He continues to serve as the
Director of the Epilepsy Treatment Center at Medical City Dallas
Hospital.
Dr. Leroy has been involved in clinical as well as basic science
research and is a published author of medically related topics. He
serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology on the teaching
Faculty of the Department of Neurology at the University of Texas
Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and as a Consultant at its
primary hospital, Parkland Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Leroy does not have an office at Neurosurgical Consultants.
