Dr. Lise A. Labiche is a Neurologist whose qualifications include
double Board Certification in Neurology and Vascular Neurology with particular
expertise in Neurovascular Diseases including "Stroke".
Dr. Labiche attended Louisiana State University and graduated from the
University of New Orleans (B.S. in Biology 1994) and from the Louisiana State
University School of Medicine (M.D., 1998) where she was elected to the
Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honorary Society. She completed her Medical
Internship (1999), a Neurology Residency (2002) and a Cerebrovascular Disease
Fellowship (2003) at the University Texas Health Science Center at Houston
School of Medicine. She also received a Diploma in Neurovascular Disease from
the Society of Neuroimaging in 2002 as well as a Graduate Certificate in
Healthcare Management from the University of Texas at Dallas School of
Management (2009).
Dr. Labiche currently serves as the Medical Director of the Stroke Program at
Medical City Dallas Hospital after having served in a similar capacity at
Baylor University Medical Center (Dallas, 2004-2007) and as Chair of the Dallas
Stroke Network for 3 years. She participates on both state and regional
committees to guide the implementation of the Texas Stroke Act. These include
the Governor's EMS and Trauma Advisory Council Stroke Committee, the North
Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Committee.
Dr. Labiche has authored acute stroke clinical trials investigating the role of
combination of neuroprotection and thrombolysis, as well as multiple articles
published in peer reviewed journals. She has been a contributing author of
several textbook chapters on the role of neuroprotection in acute stroke. As
regional and national lecturer, she has shared her experience in development
of stroke centers and systems of care.
