Dr. David Feinstein is Board Certified in Internal Medicine
(1977) and Endocrinology & Metabolism (1979). He has been in Private
Practice as an Endocrinologist with special expertise in
Neuro-endocrinology since 1978.
Dr. Feinstein attended the University of Toronto and graduated with
Honors from the University of Toronto's special 6 year program (M.D.,
1973). He served as a Resident in Medicine (1973-1975) and then
completed his Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism (1977) both
at the University of Toronto Teaching Hospitals.
Dr. Feinstein is a Fellow [FRCP(C)] of the Royal College of Physicians
(Canada), the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the American
College of Endocrinology (FACE) and is a Clinical Professor of
Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Health
Science Center at Dallas. He has served as Medical Director of the
Diabetes Unit at The Methodist Hospital (Dallas, 1978-1983) and the
Diabetes Center of America (Plano, Texas 1983-1984).
Dr. Feinstein is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society
as well as the Royal College of Physicians of Canada, American
Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American College of
Physicians, American Diabetes Association and The Endocrine Society.
He serves of the Advisory Board of American Diabetes Association
Dallas Chapter and as a National Medical Speaker for several
pharmaceutical companies including Lilly, Bristol-Meyers Squibb,
Glaxo Smith Kline, Novo Nordisk, Novartis, Sanofi-Synthelabo, Pfizer
and Aventis. Dr. Feinstein is a frequent lecturer on Endocrinological
topics such as Diabetes Update, Diabetes in Pregnancy, Reducing
Cardiovascular risk in Diabetes, Preventing Type II Diabetes,
Treatment of Osteoporosis and Male Erectile Dysfunction.
