Dr. Polina Kaloyanova holds Certification by the American Board of
Internal Medicine (2004), American Board of Internal Medicine, Subspecialty
of Endocrinology (2007) and the American Board of Diabetes & Metabolism (2007).
She has been in Private Practice as an Endocrinologist since 2007 and has a
special interest in Neuro-endocrinology.
Dr. Kaloyanova attended the Medical University of Varna (Bulgaria) having
received Scholarship for outstanding academic excellence (1991-1997) and
graduated with the Award in Academic Excellence (M.D., 1997) She served as a
full-time physician in the Department of Psychiatry in the United District
Hospital in Razgrad, Bulgaria and subsequently immigrated to the USA where
she achieved ECFMG Certification in August 2000. She completed a 3-year
residency in Internal Medicine (2001-2004) at the Mount Sinai School of
Medicine (New York) followed by her Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism
(2004-2007) at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Kaloyanova is fluent in four languages English, Spanish, Russian
and Bulgarian. In addition to being a mother of two girls, she enjoys her
hobbies of painting, figure skating, skiing and tennis.
Dr. Kaloyanova is a member of the American Association of Clinical
Endocrinologists and The Endocrine Society. Dr. Kaloyanova is a published
medical author and researcher.
