Dr. Prabhakar P. Kasava is Board Certified in Diagnostic
Radiology and in Neuroradiology (with Added Qualifications). Dr.
Kasava has worked with the surgeons of Neurosurgical Consultants for
the past several years.
Dr. Kasava graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU)-Shreveport
(B.S., Summa Cum Laudae 1985) and from the Louisiana State University
School of Medicine (M.D., 1989) after being elected to the Medical
Honor Society (Alpha Omega Alpha) in 1987. He completed his Surgical
Internship (1990) and Radiology Residency at the University of
Texas-Houston (1994) after which he completed a Fellowship in
Neuroradiology (1994-1996) and a Fellowship in Interventional
Neuroradiology (1996-1997) both at the University of Wisconsin
Hospital and Clinics (Madison, WI). Dr. Kasava was awarded the
Nycomed Diagnostic Imaging Fellowship and later served as Assistant
Professor of Radiology at the University of Texas Health Science
Center at San Antonio, The University of Texas-Houston Medical School
and the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. He
entered private practice 2002.
Dr. Kasava is a published author in medical journals and texts on
subjects relating to Neuroradiology. He is a manuscript reviewer for
the American journal of Neuroradiology.
