Dr. Allan Shulkin is a Fellowship Trained (Pulmonary Medicine)
triple Board Certified Specialist in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary
Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. He has worked in association
with Dr. Lazar, as the Critical and Intensive Care Unit Specialist,
for over 25 years.
Dr. Shulkin attended the University of Texas (BA, 1975) after which
he completed his initial medical education at the University of Texas
Health Science Center at San Antonio (MD, 1975) where he was elected
to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed a Medical Internship
(1976), a Residency in Internal Medicine (1978) and a two year
Fellowship program in Pulmonary Medicine (1980) at The University
of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. Dr. Shulkin entered
Private Practice in 1980 and has served in a multitude of hospital
offices (including Medical Staff President and Chief of Pulmonary
Medicine and Critical Care) as well as in the Public Sector (Dallas
County Medical Society, The Texas Medical association, The Texas
State Board of Medical Examiners and the Board of Managers of Parkland
Memorial Hospital.)
Dr. Shulkin is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, an educator
and has authored scientific articles which have been published in several
different peer reviewed medical journals.
Dr. Shulkin does not have an office at Neurosurgical Consultants.
